Psalms express every experience of life, every emotion and situation human beings can face They point us to the God who made us and loves us. And give glimpses of Jesus and the hope and life he offers us.
Does prayer always feel like a conversation with God? Or, when things are difficult, do we feel God hasn’t got anything to say to us? God wants us to be honest and real with Him. Sometimes he responds with a challenge about the quality of our lives rather than addressing “our” issues! God can ask awkward questions. Yet the psalmist realises that the key to a conversation with God is recognising his presence with us, not just getting our answers.
